Who we are?
We are Foodilize.com – a social networking site dedicated to ‘connecting the world through food’.
We are building a global community so that you can find menus of lovely restaurants; recipes of your favourite food posted by citizens of the community; and information (such as offers, deals, updates and news) from your favourite food places.
What information do we collect?
We ask for certain information such as your username, real name, birthdate, address, phone number, location and e-mail address when you register for a Foodilize account, or if you correspond with us. However, you are not obliged to provide us this. We may also retain any messages you send through the Service, and may collect information you provide in User Content you post to the Service. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service. Your username and if you choose to disclose it, your real name, will be published publicly. Once published, your username and / or real name may not be able to be removed entirely from the Service.
How do we use personal information?
We use this information for a more fulfilling experience by providing targeted ads that are relevant but we will never divulge your personal details to any party outside of our organisation.

Foodilize cares about the security of your information, and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from Foodilize, at all times. However, Foodilize cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Foodilize or guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes to the functionality of third party sites and services that you add to the Foodilize Service, such as other social networks. Foodilize is not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.
Compromise of information:
In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, Foodilize will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.
How long do we keep your personal data for?
Following termination of your User account, Foodilize may retain your private profile information for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. For the avoidance of doubt, any information that you choose to make public on the service may not be removable.
Your rights in relation to personal data
Users based in the European Union have the following legal rights in respect of their information:
(a) The right to require us to confirm whether or not your information is being processed, the purpose of any such processing, the recipients of any information that has been disclosed, the period for which your information is to be stored and whether any automated decision-making processes are used in relation to their information;
(b) The right to require us to rectify inaccurate information without undue delay;
(c) Where we relied on the ‘consent’ basis for processing that information, the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This right to withdraw consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
(d) The right to request the erasure of your information. Subject to certain conditions, you can make a request for erasure where:
(i) the information is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was collected;
(ii) the processing of the information is based on your consent (and the other circumstances described in the ‘Legal Basis for Processing Your information’ and ‘How We May Share Your information’ sections above no longer apply), if you withdraw your consent; or

(h) You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of the EU member state where you reside.
Please note that the above legal rights are subject to various conditions and exceptions including where the data is used for statistical or scientific research purposes and the exercise of the right would prevent such purposes from being attained or would seriously impair their attainment.

You have the right to request from Foodilize the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, and to request that we delete your personal information, in which case your account will be deleted. You may request that Foodilize provide you with the information we have stored about you via an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
